Fantastic 7 day trip to Telluride, Co.  Saturday March 1 - Saturday March 8, 2025

We are headed to Telluride Colorado for a week of fun skiing, eating, sightseeing and enjoying all that the amazing town of Telluride has to offer.

Our lodging is just ten minutes away via the free gondola to the town of Telluride which is filled with shops, bars and restaurants. The town has a historic flare reminiscent of the gold rush days combined with a sophisticated charm. The Mountain Village has a modern twist and both towns are connected via the free gondola.

Telluride has been voted as the #1 ski resort in North America in Conde Nast Traveler’s annual reader survey six times in the last seven years.

We fly into Montrose and then enjoy a 1.5 hour bus ride up the breathtaking Box Canyon in the San Juan Mountains.

The town of Telluride has a special charm to it; designated as a National Historic District with Victorian architecture, shops and the array of world class restaurants along the Main Street. The town measures one mile from the east to the west, eight blocks wide and twelve blocks long. Locals and visitors can use the complimentary shuttle service called that Galloping Goose that loops throughout town. The Galloping Goose runs on non-toxic, biodegradable, vegetable oil-based bio diesel fuel. Many visitors to are excited to hear that there are no chain restaurants or shops in Telluride!

The Town

Telluride is nestled in a glacially created valley at 8,750 feet, while its sister town, Mountain Village (which is perched above the valley at 9,545 feet), is surrounded by some of the Rockies' most striking mountains, peaking at 13,000 to 14,000 feet.
The free gondola connects Telluride to the Mountain Village, offering some of the best views you can find on public transit, and runs from 7 AM to midnight.
Mountain Village has the ambiance of European chalet-style elegance, featuring many restaurants and shops, as well as direct access to the ski slopes.

Mountain Village

Telluride Colorado is nestled in a box canyon at 8,750 feet surrounded by 14,000 foot peaks of the Southwest Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. The resort is located 65 miles south of Montrose airport with 1,700 skiable acres and spectacular views. It receives an average of 309 annual inches of light, dry snow, which blankets 127 trails, bowls, and some of the steepest terrain in North America. And the best part is, this can be enjoyed without the typical crowded ski slopes and long lift lines.

Pricing

Lift Tickets

  • All trips this season are on the Epic Pass

  • All Epic Day Passes are valid for the 2024/25 season.

  • Telluride allows Full Epic Passholders, 7 days access at their resort but requires pre-reservation

We will be 'hanging' out on the extensive gondola system interconnecting the resort here is an overview. 

Trip cancellation
Money paid and owing for any trip, by any member is refundable under certain circumstances. Factors controlling refunds are dependent upon time frames, lodging policy, the ability to find a replacement for your slot, and arrangements pertaining to each particular trip. For refund consideration, cancellation must be made in writing to the trip leader. The Cancellation fee is $50 plus costs incurred if any.

The Villagers Ski Club may waive cancellation penalties if the participant offers an acceptable, eligible alternative. The Club will make every reasonable effort to accommodate the change. However, in certain circumstances, i.e. gender related problems associated with bed assignments, the Club may reject the proposed substitution or require supplemental funds.

Telluride Ski Resort offers more than 2,000 acres of varied and unmatched terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Nearly 60% of Telluride's terrain is dedicated to beginners and intermediates including a 320-foot covered surface lift and a Terrain Based Learning™ area in The Meadows. 

The Resort

 While advanced and expert skiers have access to some of the most legendary in-bounds terrain in the world including steep groomers, moguls, glades and incredible Hike-To Terrain on the upper mountain. No matter your ability, the variety of terrain found in Telluride is equaled only by the spectacular 360-degree views of the surrounding San Juan Mountains.
